Another Loss, what's new.
(May 23)
Short Take: A nightmarish evening.
Was there anything too unexpected about this game in Toronto.
Certainly the outcome could have been predicted, another Sox loss, 9-6 to the
Blue Jays. That makes eight straight for those of you keeping score at
home. Do you remember the last time the Sox lost eight straight?
It was 1996.
Yeah, I try to forget too.
This one was forgettable, too. Take your pick of boneheaded plays by
the Sox. You have your choice of David Wells forgetting how many outs
there were and letting a run score, or Ray Durham inventing excuses for why he
did apply the tag to allow a Blue Jays runner to reach second base.
Whatever, it all basically sucks.
Let's not forget Carlos Lee got hurt and left the game with an apparently
strained hamstring.
Sox Fans, this season just keeps getting better and better.
