"Beat the Cubs" 2001 Special Edition!
Chicago Proud!

Doc White pitched the full nine innings in the deciding victory for our Sox in the 1906 World Series to defeat the pathetic Cubs, 4 games to 2.  They're so cute when they lose!

  By George Bova

White Sox Interactive proudly shows America that Chicago still harbors baseball fans who think the game is played to be won!

Victims of slights (real or imagined) even in our local media's team coverage, Sox Fans carry forward the good fight for the only cause that makes our allegiance to the Sox worthy and noble:  the elusive Chicago baseball world championship.

We don't call our team "lovable losers" and we don't throw back homerun ball either.  Ours is the good fight for ultimate glory and triumph over mediocrity.

Wrigley Field, July 12-14, 2001
Lowe Throttles Flubs!

In Your Face!
7/13... Mark Buehrle left no doubt who the top young ace in Chicago is, and Jose Valentin cemented his place as the most-loved player on the 2001 White Sox.  A 7-2 butt-whuppin' of the Flubs!
368-foot slam
7/12... A laughable "Bozo Buckets" pop-out is turned into a grand slam inside the ivy-covered dollhouse.  Sox lose 5-1 to the Baby Bears.
Next Opponent:  Cubs
7/12... WSI takes a totally biased look at the sow's ear that has been a silk purse for three months in the pathetic N.L. Central.  If you want balanced reporting, look elsewhere!
Comiskey Park, June 8-10, 2001
Sox 3, Cubs 1
6/10... Kip Wells leads the way past Jon Lieber and the rest of the Lovable Losers wearing their red, white, and blue clown outfits.  A convincing and well-deserved victory!
Cubs 4, Sox 3 (10 innings)
6/9... Injuries to key players begin to take their toll in the won-loss column as Jerry Manuel scrambles to find anybody who can play up to Sox championship standards.  Still the Sox nearly win, losing 4-3 in ten innings.  The Cubs struggle to beat this decimated Sox team?
Sox 7, Cubs 3 (10 innings)
6/8... A dramatic tenth inning grand slam seals the deal for our White Sox, a glorious 7-3 victory in ten innings!
Next Opponent:  Cubs
6/8... If you're looking for fair and balanced reporting of the Cubs, look elsewhere!  At least we at WSI admit to it.  That's more than you'll ever get from the vipers running "Cubs Interactive" inside Tribune Tower.
