In honor of actor Andy Garcia and his (unintentionally) hilarious reaction to Sofia (Mary Corleone) Coppola's death scene in "The Godfather, Part III."

I like Facebook, but I hate it. I like to see different, interesting things and people, and it is nice to be in touch with some people.

I hate it because I see how much more interesting, fulfilling and downright fun people's lives are compared to mine. I see status updates from all those wild, partying 20-somethings who are well, wild and partying. I am 41, but I never did any wild partying in my youth. Why? I was shunned, for the most part. I was excluded from all the groups in the hotel where I worked. It even continued into my 30s. The only time someone at the Peninsula Hotel ever invited me out to do something she reneged the invite 10 minutes later by saying she wasn't going. That is what passes for polite with people I know.

Anyway, I'm in a bad mood. My life is just ****ing dull and boring and...I won't continue. I just feel blah after reading all the status updates from the 20somethings bragging about how hungover they are. I wouldn't feel so lousy if I had been there and done that, but I never been. Perhaps Facebook isn't so good for me after all. Blah. I was born dull, I live dull, I'll die dull. With plenty of regrets.

Enough whining. But it is my blog, not a thread. People are welcome to drop by if they like. I wouldn't post this in a thread. But I need to get it off my chest somehow, and I don't have a shrink. Yet, but I am working on it.
