In honor of actor Andy Garcia and his (unintentionally) hilarious reaction to Sofia (Mary Corleone) Coppola's death scene in "The Godfather, Part III."

Parque, Schoenweis named in Mitchell Report
Both were teammates of members of 2005 White Sox

McGrath: "Championship" tainted forever

Sullivan: Parque and Schoenweis' 10 worst moments with players who went on to play for 2005 White Sox

"I knew my boys would be on the list! They didn't let me down!" -William Ligue, Convicted Felon and World's Number 1 White Sox Fan

Trib Editorial: Steroid Scandal worst since Black Sox. Is there no end to the ways they will try to kill baseball?

Cubs also named in report

Did Magglio take steroids?
New accusation out; Canseco offered him money to keep him out of book

Guest columnist Greg Couch: Yes! he did!
And do you know what this means? It means that
since Maggs was teammates with members of the
2005 White Sox, their World Series title is forever
tainted! Yes! I have been waiting so long to find
out just that, as anyone who read me before the
Mitchell Report came out well knows! I'm so happy
I just peed my pants! And hey, while I'm at it, the
1917 World Series was won by guys who would
become the Black Sox, so strike that one from the
books, too! Giggle! It means that the World Series
won by Chicago before that is the last clean one!

The 1908 Chicago Cubs: Chicago's last, true, pure,
innocent, untainted baseball Champions!

Mets to play White Sox in Civil Rights Game

White trash fans in uproar over Sox' participation

"This stinks! I'll be watching on TV waving my Confederate flag!" William Ligue, convicted felon and World's Number 1 White Sox fan

Fred Mitchell: Cubs should play in game, they led the way with Ernie and Billy

Game to take place in Memphis

Trib Investigation: James Earl Ray a White Sox fan!

A Trib look at previously unpublished notes of William Bradford Huie, author of He Slew the Dreamer, shows that James Earl Ray, the convicted assassin of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a devoted White Sox fan

"He is very fond of the White Sox. He asks me
everyday about them. He particularly loves Eddie
Stanky, the White Sox manager. And boy, does he
hate the Cubs. He is obsessed to the point of
madness with them." Huie writes. (Eddie Stanky,
we hasten to remind you, was violently opposed
to Jackie Robinson's integration of baseball.)

Paul Sullivan: Top ten worst White Sox fans of the past 40 years (and boy, was it hard to narrow it down to ten)

McNulty: Bias perception still exists

"It's just unbelievable" said Dan McGrath, Trib
sports editor. "The perception is there with the
White Sox' whacko, paranoid fans and we are just
powerless to stop it. I'm so tired of those nutjobs,
really. I mean, when they won the World Series
we had a special pullout section and two books.
But with the way those kooks acted, you'd have
thought that we had put up regular season
headlines like "Somber Streak" or "Choke Hold" or
wrote stories comparing them to the 1964 Phillies
or 1984 Cubs. And after they won it all I wrote it
right there on the front page: 'This is for everyone
who cares about the White Sox.' And they say
I'm biased. Seriously, where
do they get this crap?"

Another frustrated one is Rick Morrissey, Trib
Sports columnist.

"Boy, I can't wait until the Trib sells the team.
What a relief that will be." He says. "I mean,
I write one story saying 'great, you won the
Series in 2005, but Chicago will always, always,
always be a Cub town. And by the way, if my
Cubbies ever won the Series, their victory parade
will make the Sox' parade seem like a Rotary Club
bake sale. I believed that then and I believe it
now. Good Grief! What an uproar that caused!
They had the nerve to say I was biased."

The most tired of all is Ann Marie Lipinski.

"I am in the business of the news!" She yells.
"I will put whatever is newsworthy on the front
page! If it means putting a story about marijuana
smoke hovering over the Cell on the front page,
that is what it means! Is it our fault that they're all
dopeheads? And if it means that giant snails are
more newsworthy than murder, hey. I personally
love giant snails! And they also accuse me of
downplaying the parade downtown after they
won the series by having a story about if they
will ever be as 'big' as the Cubs. Well, I have news
for them. I have absolutely no memory of them
winning the series, or of any alleged parade down-
town, so I have no idea what they're talking
