I hope Jake can pitch like he did last year. I don't think anyone would argue he pitched anywhere close to what he earned on his last contract, but here's a new opportunity.
He could have gotten more elsewhere, but he's almost earned $70 million over his career already. I don't think he's hurting right now. Right now it's more about a good fit for him. I think I'd do the same thing. Would I really notice the difference between $100 million and $110 million over my career? I would probably notice that I was a lot happier playing in a place I felt comfortable though.
