Last fall, the NFL threatened to fine the San Francisco football coach for wearing a San Francisco baseball cap in support of the city while the giants were making a championship run. The NFL has come off as being arrogant in this situation.
I only casually follow the NFL, but I think it was then-quarterback Alex Smith, actually.
