The first time I laid eyes on Ichiro was during his first ST in the US at Scottsdale Stadium. He threw a strike to third from foul territory in the RF corner, probably ten feet from the OF wall. It is still probably the most amazing single act I've seen in baseball (Iguchi's play is another one at the top of my list), and I became an Ichiro fan from the get go. Though I have to admit I was looking forward to seeing him play to begin with.
Is there not a sort of bloodshed when the conscience is wounded? Through this wound a man's real manhood and immortality flow out, and he bleeds to an everlasting death. I see this blood flowing now...
