The guy went the distance last night. With the Sox offense, I figured he could have pitched another 9 innings and we still wouldn't have touched him for a run. His career record is approximately 50+ over .500. I figure he had some artificial help getting to that point, considering he's 40 years old.
Sox made him a decent offer to stay with the club a few years ago, but the Angels made a better offer and he jumped ship.
He was a big man (translation: full bodied) when he was pitching for the Sox. He's an even bigger man now. But the guy can still throw strikes with what seems like an effortless motion.
