Are front-loaded contracts actually a thing? Like, anyone who has taken an introductory finance class can tell you that the Sox SHOULD be front-loading deals to FAs right now and FAs should be preferring those deals, but I can't think of a single deal where a guy earns like $35 million in year 1 and $15 million in year 5.

Does the union not allow that?
