Puig: Clubhouse cancer. Hell no.

Grandal: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war?

Martinez: I don't like the idea of going in big on a DH before we sort out the pitching staff and catcher's spot. Would be a big defensive liability in right.

Cole: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war?

Strasburg: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war?

Wheeler, Odorizzi: Fine pickups for the middle/backend starter we need. Neither is the frontend starter we need.
Bruce Levine said Strasburg is still owed $100M over 4 years but the kicker is in year 4 (2023) he gets $45M. That might be tough depending on other contracts. If I was negotiating, I would reverse the contract and pay him the big bucks now (year 1 and year 2 maybe) while we have financial flexibility.
