As many of you already know, Humber was claimed off of waivers today. He made the 2011 campaign more tolerable due to his decent first half of the season and he gave the Sox another perfect game. That's about it. Discuss.

Wish he could have had a better go of it, but at least he had a pretty damn fine moment in the sun. Good luck in Houston, Phil!

Thanks for the perfecto memories and thanks for battling through that start against the Dodgers this season. Didn't have any stuff at all and somehow managed to slide by into the 6th...
Good luck in Houston. |

I liked Phil and hoped he was on the rise after how well he pitched the first part of 2011, but it was not to be. His perfecto was great fun to watch, and from all the publicity afterwards, he sounds like a good person. I wish him well in Houston-it's his home state and I'll bet he's happy to pitch there.

I don't know if he will, but I think he could still end up a decent back end of the rotation guy. Good luck to Phil in Houston.

Thanks for the perfecto and that one start in Yankee Stadium back in 2011 where you dominated the Yankees.

Humber went through a lot to get to where he was as a jouneyman MLB pitcher. We went to the April 26 game against Boston, the first game he pitched after the perfecto, and he looked terrible: 9 runs allowed in 5 innings. I hoped it was an aberration, but the way the rest of the season played out it seems the perfecto was the aberration.
Good luck in Houston, Phil.

Thanks for the perfect game, but I keep seeing the 2 home runs you gave up to Miguel Cabrera at Comerica on a Sunday afternoon in July, capping off a Tiggers sweep. :(
Good luck with the 'Stros. Please throw whatever you threw to Cabrera that day to Dunn,Konerko,Viciedo and Rios when you face them next summer.
