Long time Red Sox player; now willing to play for the Dam Yankees. Please don't say it wasn't because of the money Youk. It's allways the money.

I was having fun with the original thread title started by oldcomiskey before it was changed.
Anyway, thanks Youk for helping us win a handful of games and providing stability at 3B. It was unfortunate his knee prevented him from playing at a higher level, along with the rest of the Sox offense, at the end of the season. Good luck to him, even though he's playing for the Yankees and their 40 mill tied up at third base. |

It's fine by me. He had a hot streak, and that was it.
He'll play well in spurts, but he can't be counted on anymore.

The Yankees could have kept Chavez for $3million (assuming he wanted to stay there) and a LH stick for that short porch in Right.
But they go with this guy at $12 million? Yikes. |

Awful career move for Youk. Where's he gonna play when A-Rod gets back?
Plus he's going to look ridiculously weird without facial hair. Took the cash to ride the pine for a third of a season, sad. |

Really? He got the New York friggin' Yankees to pay him $12m for one year during the twilight (or at least downside) of his career? Sounds like a pretty great career move.
