Yes, but they're packing a machine to make them break the right way.

Interestingly, the article said the White Sox played an exhibition game at the same venue in Sydney 100 years ago on January 2, 1914.

....why the heck did they play a game there in January in the middle of the winter? It must have been freezing there!

Maybe instead of wearing blue pullovers, the umps wear the white sportcoats in honor of the Australian rules football officials.

Every "out" call could just be the fingerpoint like the Aussies.

Baseball is growing in Australia, they have had a pro league there since the 1990s and have produced a couple of major leaguers. I think this is a good move, I wish it were with more iconic teams. The Dodgers are certainly iconic but the Diamondbacks? Not as much.

Right. Why not Dodgers-Giants because of the rivalry and the Giants' recent postseason success?

That was part of the Sox "round the world" tour with the N.Y. Giants. Took most of the off season, played I want to say 48 games against the Giants in England, Italy, Australia, Egypt, Hawaii and other places.

By the way the MLB TV channel broadcasts games from Australia during our winter.
