Would have been nice if the Sox took a shot at him. By all accounts they were one of the few teams that didn't even attend his post draft showcase(s).

I agree. It would have been nice to see the Sox take a flyer on a guy who was considered one of the top pitching prospects going into the 2010 draft. Given Loux' Texas roots (he is from Houston and went to Texas A & M), I imagine the Texas teams had a big advantage in this free agent process. And that fact that Rangers, led by Texas pitching icon Nolan Ryan, are the defending AL champion probably didn't hurt, either.
