A real life Willie Mays Hayes? Not quite...
Montaous Walton tried to dupe WSI posters into believing he was a real prospect four years ago. The truth is Walton doesn't even play baseball. Yet he's managed to get various media outlets to report on his "success" on the ball diamond over the last several years. Further, two separate sports agencies have given him plane tickets and other loot after he convinced them he was a Toronto Blue Jays prospect.
Walton is from Milwaukee originally, and he tried to fool a buddy of mine who works for OnMilwaukee.com into doing a story on him. Well, my buddy did a story all right. MLB is now investigating and wants to prosecute Walton.
