Despite the great story of his career turnaround, other than wins and this his 26th season, he would be a very questionable HOF candidate based on his stats.

Yet with so many borderline inductees in the last 15 years, how do you keep him out if he gets 300 wins?

no way,he has averaged like 12 wins in his career.Jim Kaat played about that long,close to the same wins,but was a better pitcher and he isn't in.
