2014 - My compatriots: Adrian, Alexei, Jose, and Dayan; thanks for the pic, ChiSoxGal85!!!! ![]() October26 - Thank you to the 2005 World Series Champions Chicago White Sox! October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions! |

Those sitting in the last two rows at Sox fest will be confined to the last two rows and not allowed anywhere else at Sox Fest (mimic Upper Deck policy).

The universe is the practical joke of the General at the expense of the Particular, quoth Frater Perdurabo, and laughed. The disciples nearest him wept, seeing the Universal Sorrow. Others laughed, seeing the Universal Joke. Others wept. Others laughed. Others wept because they couldn't see the Joke, and others laughed lest they should be thought not to see the Joke. But though FRATER laughed openly, he wept secretly; and really he neither laughed nor wept. Nor did he mean what he said. |

Ozzie Guillen helps an elderly woman across the street outside the Palmer House.
People curse him out and heap scorn on him. Robin Ventura knocks the old woman down and takes her purse. People talk about how bad of a job Ozzie did and point out how much fun Robin appeared to be having. |

It's good to see Jermaine Dye coming back. The Sox have historically done a poor job at getting former players to attend Sox Fest. |

I disagree. They've always had a half dozen or so former players including guys from back in the 50's and 60's every year. Lip |

Your'e right. The Sox do have a half dozen or so former players attend each year. But, in comparison, the Cubs had the following former players (not including current coaches and broadcasters) attend their convention in 2012: Ernie Banks, Glenn Beckert, Mike Bielecki, Bill Buckner, Jose Cardenal, Andre Dawson, Bob Dernier, Shawon Dunston, Jeff Fassero, Randy Hundley, Fergie Jenkins, Vance Law, Jon Leiber, Bill Madlock, Gary Matthews, Sr., Rick Monday, Milt Pappas, Scott Sanderson, Dwight Smith, Lee Smith, Tim Stoddard, Rick Sutcliffe, Steve Trout, Todd Walker, Billy Williams, and Eric Young. |

The Sox put a feature spotlight on the guys that come in. The Cubs convention seems more like a meat grinder where you don't get to hear the past players talk or see them every day. The Sox are able to do more with the guys they bring in. |
