Seattle is looking at eating the final year of his contract at $8M.
If KW was still GM I'm sure the Sox would have interest, but who knows now.

KW always gets his man!
He has nothing else to give so I hope the Sox stay away. |

Mariners didn't use the last two days they had available to them to try to find a landing spot for Figgins. No team was going to trade for Figgins, who still has a year, and $8.5 million, left on his contract.
Figgins is free to sign with any team, which will only have to pay him the minimum salary. He'll find work, most likely on a non-roster basis with a spring-training invite. Possibly to the Rays. http://seattletimes.com/html/thehots...br_seamariners |

I am fairly certain he is washed up but am I the only person that wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him? If he would accept a minor league contract and invitation to spring training or some sort of similar deal to what we gave Andruw Jones I wouldn't be horribly opposed.
