Victorino at 3/39, now Drew for 1/9.5. If this were 2008 the Red Sox would be dangerous.
Dempster and Uehara are the only two good pickups in my opinion out the 5 or 6 guys they've signed. They'll be battling The O's for fourth place.

Apparently hitting .238 and missing 160 games over the past 2 years is worth $9.5 Million?
This is why I think the megadeals like the ones that the Sawx/Dodgers and Marlins/Jays pulled off are bad for baseball- it continues to widen the gap between the Boston's and, say, San Diego's of the baseball world so asshat owners and GMs like Henry can continue to do this with zero consequence. |

His brother was the same way. Absolutely refuses to play through the most minor of injury. I guess Boston didn't learn from that experience either.
