Way to go, Chris. That thing is a joke anyway. Plus, given your arm issues in the past, you don't need one more way to jeopardize your health.

Why is this such a common misconception? Sale has literally never had any arm troubles in his college or professional career thus far, other than what ended up being routine soreness back in May. I suppose the concern about his delivery having the potential for injury has been beaten so thoroughly that we forget that he's rarely been anything but healthy.

Only two Sox name players on WBC rosters, Rios (PR) and Crain (Canada).
Overall not that bad. Lip |

I was actually kinda hoping that he'd compete in the WBC.
Oh well, there's always 2017.

The email the Sox sent out tonight said there are five Sox players in the WBC: Rios, Andy Gonzalez, Santiago (all Puerto Rico), Crain (Canada), and Andre Rienzo (Brazil).

Hope they eventually get the Brazilian jerseys on MLB Shop because I would definitely buy a Rienzo one.

Andy Gonzalez? The same one who made 3 errors in one inning? Hmm. Missed his return. |

I don't consider Gonzales and the kid from Brazil a meaningful contributor this year and Santiago in the Tribune story said he is still leaning towards saying, 'no' to Puerto Rico. Lip |

I know he will have nothing to do with the big league club this year but just the very mention of this name makes me

Santiago officially declines the WBC, staying in Glendale to focus on earning a spot in the starting rotation if John Danks is not ready to roll by Opening Day
