Every team has streaks, and yes, the Sox could go on a hot one pushing them closer to contention.
But when we have a "homer or nothing" offense that so many have clamored over the last few years, you need to figure out how to score runs/win games when the homers aren't there. So far the 2013 Sox have no clue when it comes to that.
The Sox are 22nd in RISP at .239 and 26th at 2-out RISP at .211.
If anyone on the team is capable of shortening their swing and driving in a run when needed instead of all-out hacking for the fences, I haven't seen it.
