26 yo- career .157 hitter in parts of 3 MLB season and hitting .249 at AAA- our #1 minor league OF to be called up for mid season help- I can't believe I asssessed out minor league system as "barren"- what was I thinking?

Maybe a catching prospect, but that's the reason Phegley has been called up. Unless they've already decided he isn't the answer either. I'd hope we use the rest of this year and next season to decide that though.

It's time to see if Phegley is real or not. I don't think he is, but there's really no reason at this point he shouldn't be starting from the moment he arrives.

I don't think they look at Tekotte as "midseason help." They are sending Danks down to get more at-bats. They want him to chip the rust off before they put him in RF every day once they trade Rios.

I think Danks should not be taking ABs away from anyone in the farm either.

This is a fantastic example of an uninformed, agenda driven post. Kudos.

There aren't any outfielders in AAA who matter. Danks is flipping spots with Tekotte, a non-prospect who was playing every day in Charlotte.

Exactly. He's not taking at bats away from Thompson, Hawkins, Mitchell, or Walker.

He's a stopgap to fill in the 4th OF spot. Maybe they should call up Thompson and have him rot on the bench. Seems productive.

Tekotte is up only until D. Wise is ready. Once Wise is back, then all the pieces are in place.

I don't ever want to see Jordan Danks in a White Sox uniform again.

I share that feeling, but I do not believe you will get that wish.
