Garza is also a big tool as he delayed the game and strolled in from the bullpen during the top of the first inning as the game was going on. After the game, he said it was the Sox' fault as they only gave him 15 minutes to warm up and rushed him to start a make up game.

There was a good comment in the game thread about Ventura and the current state of things. I have been pretty pro Ventura, but I have now come to the conclusion that we need a complete regime change after this year. There are so many fundamental mistakes going on right now I just don't have any faith in these coaches going forward. I know there is little talent, but still.

We were showcasing him tonight.
We can't even dress these stiffs up to make them look good for 1 night so we can trade them. All of this crap snowballs. Basically everyone is playing worse as the losing grates on you and you lose heart. And we have a manager who hadn't been on a bench in 10 years, and who hasn't experienced a slump and what it takes to pull out of it. |

Things just keep going lower and lower. It's impossible to believe considering what we've seen thus far, but somehow they manage to find new ways each week to make a fan feel horrible about this team.
I don't care about getting swept by the Cubs because it's the Cubs and the "rivalry" that supposed to exist. Throwing out all the media fluff and the fact that they play in the same city, the Cubs are bad baseball team in full rebuild mode and you should be able to beat them at least once. This organization needs a massive house cleaning from top to bottom. Players, coaches, announcers, everything. It's just so tedious to watch. |

Phegley reminds me of TCQ, both in build and a little bit in his stance. A trade has to be coming at some point, just don't expect much of a return.

It would be safe to say that the Passion and Pride slogan from a few years ago has been put to rest by this bunch of losers.

It would be very safe to say that. Losing starts at the top of this organization and goes all the way down.

"Suicide watch?" Please, this team isn't even worth a self-inflicted paper cut.

Excellent thread title. Hopefully they don't start piping the Beethoven in at the stadium! Luckily both teams suck, and this cub sweep will be long forgotten by tomorrow.

Jerry, you were the best owner in Chicago history, you were a "sunshine boy" but time has passed you by. Time to go out to pasture, you don't have the same passion and fire that a young Jerry had. You have your beloved Championship, now please fade away, you have rusted. |

Josh Phegley is the only reason I even bother watching this team.
