Rios went 6-6, but I'm amazed he only saw 12 pitches. Wow talk about in zone.

That was a great game for the Sox; but alas our batting practice pitcher (Axelrod) will be on the mound tomorrow. Goodnight now.

I don't think there's any doubt they're going to pummel Detroit this year because how much crueler could this sport be?

Well, now it is obvious:
The Sox spent all of Spring Training and this season planning around one goal:

Beat Detroit.

The heck with the other 144 games.

Love it when your FB status matches your WSI post!

I actually missed this game (go figure) but recorded it on my DVR to watch later. Glad to read about the Sox offensive explosion last night. Hope the Sox have more runs left in the tank -- and speaking of Tank, how about his bat coming alive last night?!? #BeatDetroit

October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions!

1st through 7th inning: 1 run on 8 hits

8th and 9th innings: 10 runs on 15 hits.

Baseball is indeed a strange game.

Best part of the game; Alex Rios raised his average by 14 points for potential suitors!!!

.281 avg looks a heck of a lot better than .267!!

And he helped my fantasy team's batting average!

So, let's see: Alex Rios went 6-6, the Sox pounded Justin Verlander in Detroit and Dayan Viciedo hit two home runs. Have to bring out the tank:

That is a White Sox winner, alright!

After a game like that, why can't the Sox win more games? I know they play 162 games, and eventually they will put together a good game but this team has talent and has been playing horribly. I'm losing faith that Robin Ventura is the right manager for the White Sox.

I'm in the process of moving, so I had the MLB App on my phone streaming the Tigers audio feed for the game and their announcers basically said the same thing. Made a few comments about how this team has talent on the roster and how it's so hard to see them playing this poorly.

Although, there was a funny conversation that occurred in the 9th inning when the Tigers' color man, who was quite perplexed by the Sox offensive onslaught, offered this gem: "Tonight, they're hitting the ball - they're not supposed to. They're fielding the ball - they're not supposed to. Why!?"
