Based on how Hawkins gets ranked, it's looking like we should have around 4 top 100 prospects going into next year.

He still has tremendous upside with continued development, but I'd bet most prognosticators drop him out of a top 100 list.

It's too bad he lost a year. He was showing some potential. He was a high-contact hitter, something the Sox need more of.

Up and down so far, but Michaelczewski homered from both sides tonight.

Marcus Semien is Sickels' prospect of the day. Nice write up:

If you like on-base percentage, you'll love Chicago White Sox infield prospect Marcus Semien.

Who are the four? (serious question, i'm not doubting your estimation)

I've heard about Hawkins, but how does Keenyn Walker rank among Sox prospects?

Garcia and Johnson I would assume are locks to break the Top 100. Hawkins is the wild card. I'm not sure who the fourth would be. Anderson? Zapata?

Semien's ceiling may not be sky high like Hawkins or Anderson, but he seems like one of the safest bets of anyone in the system to be a surefire contributor at the MLB level.

Does anyone with more knowledge than me know if he's capable of playing the left side of the infield at the big league level?

Terribly: A Strike out machine w/zero power; the worst of both worlds. I wouldn't be surprised if he were out of baseball entirely within three years.

From what I've read, he has the arm, but possibly not the range. I don't see how the ranks can ignore a SS with .900 OPS, 15 homers, 20 steals and more walks than K's while playing at an age appropriate level.

He's only 22 and has 36 steals with an OBP .130 points higher than his BA. He's also an elite defender. If he can increase his contact rate at all, there's no reason he can't be a 4th OF.

Nice to know we at least have some options in the system in case Alexei is gone after this season. Seems like a good stint at AAA and a decent spring potentially makes Semien a White Sox starter on Opening Day next year, especially if a full blown youth movement ends up being Hahn's MO after this year. His kind of plate discipline is really rare.

I think there will be a good turnover on the roster, and from within the Sox farm system, I think the following have a good chance to on the team next year:
A. Garcia
Johnson
Semien
Petrika
Snodgress

Snodgress is a bit of an outsider, but I could see them moving either Quintana or Santiago in the off season to get a position player and move up Snodgress to take his place.

Scouts question if he has the range to play SS, but his arm is plenty strong to play SS or 3B. He prefers SS.
