I do not see Snodgress as a future starter for this team. Doesn't have good enough command of his pitches (yet) to expect much more than a late-inning reliever. He needs more time in the minors.

Two questions:

1. Despite his struggles in Charlotte this year, are people still high on Carlos Sanchez possibly being the future somewhere in the infield? He is still only 21.

2. There's been a lot of talk about Webb being the future in the back end of the bullpen, but what's the word on Jacob Petricka? High draft pick pedigree, seems to be having a great year across a couple levels.

I think people who were high on Sanchez going into this year are still high on him, as you said, he's only 21 and one of the youngest players in the IL this year, if not the youngest. It was a very aggressive placement by the Sox. That said A) if his standing in the organization has dipped a little, it's more to do with Marcus Semien's remarkable run through the minors and B) it's not universally believed that Sanchez will be a productive MLB player. I think there is overall some question as to whether or not he has the tools to be an everyday MLB player, but those were questions raised long ago and not reliant on this down year he's had with the Knights.

I think Petricka is viewed as a valuable relief arm for the future, but Webb just seems to have better closer stuff.

Charlotte lost 4-1 Tuesday, but Semien went 2-for-4 with a homer. Garcia also 2-for-4. Garcia is 9-for-22 with a home run and seven RBIs since joining the Sox organization.

Sickels is very high on Johnson, like everyone else. Honestly, I think our projected 2015 rotation looks as good as anyone's in the AL provided everyone stays healthy.

It'll be really interesting to see how he does in the upper levels. He's got great college and high draft pick pedigree, but his numbers to this point are somewhat enigmatic.

As much of a downer as this season is, the glut of pitching in our minor league system this year has been very exciting.
