Default Complete Classic MLB Games on YouTube

I hope these aren't subject to copyright infringement policies, but there is some gold here.

http://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicMLB11

All four games from the '83 ALCS are posted, the '83 All-Star Game, NBC Games of the Week, Monday Night Baseball games, etc.

There was a Yankees-White Sox game on there from 1979, but I don't think they are posted with MLB's permission and I suspect they will be pulled shortly.

Just watched enough of Game 3 of the '83 ALCS to get pissed off again. Thanks Yeah, Flanagan was throwing a Kittle. He missed him once and then hit him on the 3-2 fastball, aiming for his knees.

There is a 1981 Sox-Orioles full game. A full game with Harry and Jimmy for all the youngins that have only heard clips of them. A real treat.

That Mark Fidrych video sure was something else. I've never seen anyone give such a raw interview like him either. He did the interview with no shoes on. I wish there was more players like him now. It's also kinda cool that Bob Euecker gave the interview too.

Speaking of Fidrych, in my 50+ years of following baseball I have never seen anything like what Fidrych did in 76. Look at the crowds he drew in the summer of 76, home and away. This was on a tiger team that wasnt in the hunt all year. It was truly amazing. This was not a guy chasing a cherished baseball record either.

Yeah they were even talking about the crowds in the interview. I wish there was a Harry Carey interview with him now. I've always heard stories and watched short clips on him but that game was probably the most entertaining game I ever saw. I can understand now why so many people wanted to see him pitch. I don't think he was some phony trying to sell to a fanbase either, he seemed like a genuine kinda guy who didn't know how entertaining he was.

Awesome find.

If you see something you really want, grab it quick via http://www.keepvid.com/ before MLB yanks them.

I think this guy set up another account in case the first one gets taken down. The other account includes a 1979 game with the Yankees at Old Comiskey, with Harry and Jimmy doing commentary. Unbelievable find:

The other account in classicmlb1122

I shall never complain about anything ever again.

The 1979 game is Thurman Munson's last game before he died in a plane crash. It wasn't televised live in New York, but the Yankees got the tape of the White Sox WSNS telecast and showed it in New York a few days later. (Coincidentally, it's also Don Kessinger's last game as Six player/manager. He resigned the next day and was replaced by a young unknown minor league manager named Tony LaRussa.)

Very cool. Harry ripping on the Sox for bunting in the first inning at 7:30. Ahead of his time.

Just discovered these games this past month, though they've apparently been uploaded for longer than they've been recognized. Recently watched the end of the '05 World Series just to feel good about our boys again. Someday again. Someday.

I was watching that earlier and what I thought was interesting was at some point Harry said that the broadcast could not be retransmitted without "the express written permission of the Chicago American League ball club," not MLB.
