They have to do that with or without Adam Dunn.

I doubt all those slots will be filled so Dunn will deservingly fill one of those slots. Its a sad situation.

Hey Adam, you are more or less the reason the team sucks and you are having no fun. Sucks to be you, sucks to be us.

Yeah, let's completely ignore the six or so other starters who can't hit to save their grandmother's life, the atrocious defense and the shoddy bullpen, as well as the fact that Dunn's been the best hitter on the team for about two months now.

Totally Dunn's fault.

He is what he is.
I'd prefer De Aza in that position (but he needs to be kept out of the outfield). But one needs to go.

I'd say less.

I guess he's not having fun again since he's 7 for his last 58.

Not a mob here. I've never wanted him since we suggested it. Go back to the thread where he signed. A couple of us blasted the signing that day and everyone tried throwing stats, logic, whatever at all of us on how the sox were the team to beat. Adam Dunn does not make anyone around him better. He has the worst offseason regimen of anyone in the franchise. The kind of hitter he is just does not make teams great. For what we are paying him, we could have Dunn a lot more. Use whatever argument you want, there's a reason that teams he are on are always disappointments and not in the playoffs. How's this for logic: last place and he's griping about no fun and retirement. He chose to come here and make the money.

Amen to that. He is not in any way shape or form a winner. I hope he is gone after this year and has a great rest of his life whether or not it is in baseball.

The sox on may 26 were .500 at 24-24. Since then? 32-60. Dunn only does well when his team is tanking. He can't handle pressure and doesn't contribute to winning. Please retire.
