Glad they stopped the losing streak. Nice effort from Andre Rienzo.

For anyone who is interested, the Birmingham Barons are up 2 games to 1 in a best of five divisional series against the Tennessee Smokies. In Game 4, the Barons are trailing 5-4 in the middle of the 6th inning. And Micah Johnson is 2-2 with a double and a stolen base.

Why did A. Garcia sit out again???? They said Friday was for a rest, now he sat again today. He is one guy who can use these games to help his adjustment to the majors.

I read that he's out because of dental work on a "bad tooth". Having a toothache can be just as painful as watching the 2013 White Sox.

Had to get a tooth pulled. He wanted to know what this season was like from a fans perspective.

Rienzo looked good after a shaky first inning. Nice to see him bounce back from last start. Now lets see how Johnson bounces back vs Tigers Tuesday.

On that last play, the telecast didn't show what the 2B/SS were doing to deke the runner into thinking the ball was in play. Wish I'd seen that. Was that the same Addison Reed who struck out the side in a non-save situation a couple days ago? I guess he can only pitch in non-save situations.

Of course, after the game in Seattle, some insisted the problem was Reed couldn't pitch in non-save situations, as if he last pitcher in the bullpen who loses the lead after your team takes breaks a scoreless tie deep in extra-innings can be considered to have failed in a non-save situation. And for the consternation about Reed pitching too much during the winning streak, he was saving those games.

There are a couple of interesting points in the way the Sox won this game. The Orioles couldn't score a leadoff double in the eighth when they were down by three. They had two on and one out in both the eighth and ninth and hit/ran into double plays. If the Sox had lost the way the Orioles lost today, on that last play, one can only imagine the tone of the postgame thread. Complain about the White Sox playing stupid baseball, but I see a lot of stupid baseball being played out there by winning teams.

Thanks for the update on how the Barons are doing and great picture of Micah Johnson.

And yes, nice pitching performance by Rienzo yesterday. Addison Reed, on the other hand, was doing his best to give me a heart attack. I watched yesterday's game with my dad, who remained calm during the 9th inning. Me? I was sweating and pacing ?!? I know, these games are meaningless but I wanted to see the Sox end the losing streak. After Reed recorded the final out, my father looked at me and said: "No sweat, I knew Reed had it all along!" lol, gotta love my 85 year old dad's cool demeanor - I could learn a lot from him!

October26 - Thank you to the 2005 World Series Champions Chicago White Sox!
October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions!

Glad they broke that losing streak vs Buck....made him cringe a bit anyway.

Now, lets beat the Tigers....screw'em Sox!
