I wonder if the Sox are going to paperless tickets or barcodes. The Dodgers were delayed in selling tickets this year for that very reason.

Just picked up 4 in lower reserve for OD. I had a chance to get lower deck gold, but couldn't justify spending $95 a ticket.

I picked up 4 great UD's for one of the games against the Cubs (lots of good LD seats available, but too expensive for me). I passed on Opening Day tickets -- after this winter, I can't bear the thought of sitting through a 38 degree day.

I passed on all games for the first time since I first had full season tickets in 2006 because of bad seats or high prices. Those ticketmaster prices made me appreciate the discounted cost of season tickets! I'm also fairly confident that cheaper tickets will be available for almost all games using discount codes and stubhub. Opening day is a wildcard due to the possibility of it being really cold.

OD was the only game I went to last year after seasons of going to 15+ games. I snagged two for this one. No way I would order tix for any other games - you can guaranteed get them cheaper later.

Since I won't pay anything near face for the rest of the year, I didn't bat an eyelash at paying 94$ each for a pair of 134 Lower Box Golds today.

Since everyone's saying they don't/won't pay above face value for games in the future, where are you getting these tickets from? Craigslit? Stubhub? Other season ticket holders?

Stubhub, but the other two work, too. They'll be cheap as dirt. Buying full price really makes no sense after opening day, even for "popular" series, unless of course the team is doing well.
