I know his case didn't actually go to arbitration but the projected amount they would have gotten from arbitration is obviously the starting point for these negotiations.
I don't know, but he made $4.2 million last year. Given normal salary progression, I assume he would have made a lot more without the injury issue.

And he'll probably get the same next year barring him coming back this Summer and absolutely pitching lights out down the stretch.

A little bit of a fluff piece, but important context for people who still believe players are only signed by teams for only their statlines and future production. Sometimes players are worth more to one team than another.

Andrew Romine signed to a minor league deal, $900K. I suppose this is just for depth in the minors and nothing else. He's not good.

WHOA - and I thought the acquisitions were finished this offseason! Didn't even have to give up any prospects!

Yes, a good one with pedigree. Will possibly crack our top ten!

https://blogs.fangraphs.com/prospect...e-carlos-vera/

Edit: Eventually. They can’t officially sign him until July.

Nice clean delivery, good low load and no arm drag.

Well, no stats and video.

He's a bust. Need to know 35 or 36 different stats on the guy. What was Hahn thinking?

Huh? WSI posters can confirm he'll be a bust from just a few videos.

WSI posters can tell he's a bust by the team who signed him.

Great signing. Fangraphs called him the best international pitcher on the market. Now if they can grab Oscar Colas (the Cuban Ohtani) that would be amazing.

And remember that Abreu is actively helping with all of this. He's even getting his teammates involved in recruiting as well.
