Default Sox have 13th most miserable fan base

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...ssional-sports
Bears fans also are on this list at 21st.

I guess some people at ESPN lurk here, meaning they know we exist after all.

Without looking, I would guess that Detroit is at the top.
You don't want to be a fan of the Detroit teams right now.

Sacramento Kings were #1.

The list is not by city, it is by franchise. It also takes overall history into account.

Good grief.

Not going to waste my time reading an article about how they can quantify something that is 100% subjective.

Is it based on our FIP?

Great point. The nonsense never stops. I am glad I cut the cord especially getting rid of ESPN.

Come on. I by myself am miserable enough to get us into the top 10. Some of you are not holding up your end.

As soon as the White Sox start winning more in 2020 it will crawl upward. Regardless, it's a nonsense article meant to stir up people.

I mean, it's an objective fact that the 2010's have been a terrible time to be a White Sox fan. This is a team that is historically mediocre but in that decade was just plain terrible.

Things will almost certainly be better in the 2020's.

2010 set the table for a miserable decade, with the August/September collapse. Pretty sad that the highest win totals for that decade all begin with "8", but that's what poor drafting, poor scouting both international and domestic and outdated philosophies will get you.

And Bulls fans are 60 places less miserable? C'mon. I guess if you don't count all those who no longer call themselves Bulls fans . . . .

Based on the outrage voiced by a vocal minority of Sox fans on fan forums to this offseason's transactions, I wonder if 13th is ranking us too low on the list.

Itís not just about how the fans feel at the moment.
