Default Felix Hernandez possible finale

Felix Hernandez is most likely done with the Mariners and maybe for his entire career. https://streamable.com/bvaej

Started in the majors at the age of 19. 15 years and 2700+ IP later, his arm has basically fallen off. I can't help but wonder if things would be different if he was in the minors for a couple of seasons rather than Seattle riding him for a crapload of innings every year for a decade.

Borderline HOF player but great pitcher.

So long King Felix, he pitched many a great game for the M’s, but the one I remember most is the Perfect Game he tossed against Tampa Bay in 2012 just a few short months after Philip Humber threw his against the Mariners.

I remember reading a story online that there was a fan in Seattle who witnessed both perfect games in person! I couldn’t imagine being lucky enough to witness one perfect game in a lifetime of going to baseball games, let alone two in one year.

PS: I was at the Andy Hawkins no hit game that he lost to the White Sox 4-0, but Bud Selig took it off the books as an official no hitter because Hawkins only pitched 8 innings and not the required 9 to make it in to the record book.

I was there, too.

Before the game, I told my friend that something strange would happen because it was old Comiskey's final birthday and the Yankees' last visit ever to old Comiskey (the Yanks were horrendous that year, no chance of post-season).

Given the confluence of Comiskey's last birthday and the most storied franchise in MLB history last visit (sorry Cub fans), it had to be something everyone would always remember....

Like many great M's players, never got to the postseason. He was one hell of a pitcher at the top of his game.

Sucks to be only 33 and probably done. He was good.

Hard to believe Brian Anderson hit two home runs off of him in one game...

Kenny's probably on the phone right now trying to convince him to join the Sox rotation next year.

Only if you believe that when one door closes all others remain closed.
