Default Bernardo Flores

Milb has an interesting article on pitcher Bernardo Flores.

Flores has a specific game plan as pitcher, using the lower part of the strike zone to set up all his pitches, and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He models his pitching strategy after what Atlanta Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone taught.

He's a 6'3" lefty, and he thinks his fastball will improve from its 92-93 velocity today as he matures. He was a 7th round pick in 2016 and has had success at A ball earlier this year and has moved up to Winston-Salem. It will be interesting to watch how Flores does over the next year or so.

I agree- he's had a nice run over his last 10 starts, if you take out one outlier (7 ER in 4 1/3), his ERA in the other 9 starts = 3.00)
