Every body is different, but a point of comparison is Strasbourg who was back pitching in the bigs barely a year after TJS almost a decade ago.

Even though it wasn't his fault, the writing was on the wall when he collided with Eloy.

Didn't help, but more a case of couldn't play. I reject any comparison with Engel, since Engel can catch a baseball. Sorry, kid. I wish him well at Home Depot.

Hold on, that's going a little far. Yes, Charlie Tilson has not had a good run in MLB so far. But you know what? If he were to go to Japan, he could do very, very well.
I don't know whether Tilson is considering that but I hope he does. I see it as a good option. |

Is Home Depot a bad place to work?

As long as he has nothing to do with the lumber department...

I thought they had already outrighted him during the season. Engel is much better than Tilson.

I watched Tilson rob a homer at a PawSox game this year. He's a real good kid, and best of luck.

Tilson had committed to play at the University of Illinois before he was drafted in the second round by St. Louis. As an incentive to forego college, the Cardinals agreed to pay for Tilson's college tuition, room and board, whenever his professional baseball career ends. Charlie will be fine. If he ends up at Home Depot, he won't be stacking bags of mulch.

Calhoun: Strikes out too much. He'd be OK on a one year deal. Dickerson: A defensive liability and I don't trust players coming from the NL to perform for us. OK with reservations on a one year deal. Puig: Clubhouse cancer. Hell no. Grandal: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war? Martinez: I don't like the idea of going in big on a DH before we sort out the pitching staff and catcher's spot. Would be a big defensive liability in right. Cole: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war? Strasburg: Sure, but are we going to win the bidding war? Wheeler, Odorizzi: Fine pickups for the middle/backend starter we need. Neither is the frontend starter we need. |
