They clinched at least the second wild card last night, and their claim to the first wild card will clinch with one win or a Dodgers loss.

Still rooting for that Kershaw elimination game at Wrigley. Perhaps even a day after a tie for the division and a game 163.

Eww. Clayton Kershaw is basically a league-average pitcher in playoff games.

Saw where both the Cubs and Cardinals could be celebrating on the same field right after the game Sunday depending on what happens.

With the Cubs winning today, Colorado clinches a playoff spot with a win.

Cardinals have to pretty much win out to make the playoffs and hope the Dodgers falter against SF. That well could knock the Cubs back into the WC play-in game.

Iím actually rooting for the Dodgers to go home. They were awarded a waiver claim on Bryce Harper and didnít even try to give up some quality prospects and work out a deal.

Rocktober will be a reality, as Colorado clinched a playoff berth with their win tonight.

The AL playoffs is completely set, seedings and everything. Yankees hosting the A's in the Wild Card matchup, winner will play Boston. Houston hosts Cleveland.

The NL playoffs has still one more spot to be locked up. The Cards are on life support, as they need to win out against the Cubs and the Dodgers need to lose out for the Cards to clinch the last WC spot. The Dodgers need one win to clinch the last WC, and can still win the NL West if the Rockies lose out and the Dodgers win out, with Colorado falling to the second WC spot.

Speaking of waiver claims, I'm also shocked that Daniel Murphy fell to the Cubs. This means every NL contender passed on him. How did someone not put a claim on him just to block them? He is way too good of a hitter for the top NL team to just get him for nothing. He didn't even cost any major prospects. Just salary relief basically.

Let's go A's! (something I thought I'd never say being a White Sox fan in the 70s)

An Aís-Brewers World Series may convince Fox to drop baseball, which would be wonderful.

With the Cubs' loss to the Cards, the Brewers' win, Dodgers win, and the Rockies currently getting pasted by the Nats, there are going to be two divisions that are tied going into the final game.

Brewers win and Cubs lose, the Brewers win the division and the Cubs host the WC game, and vice versa. Same thing for the Rockies and Dodgers.

If both divisional teams win or lose, there will be a Game 163 to determine division champion, with the loser of the game getting a WC spot.

The Braves are sitting back and watching this and going "Thank goodness we're not a part of that mess" while cuddling with their NL East trophy.

The potential game 163s would be held in Chicago and LA due to them having better head to head records agains the Brewers and Rockies respectively.

The Wild Card game will be hosted by the 2nd place team in the NL Central on Tuesday night.
