Default Home Opener Weather

The weather is looking pretty bad for the home opener. Cold and rainy starting around 2pm. Will they repeat lasts years opening day debacle or just push the game back to Friday? Making this decision early would really help ticket holders adjust their plans accordingly. It's going to be really cold on Friday but at least it will be dry.

I've been wondering the same thing all week. Last year was a JOKE.

Last year really was a fiasco. It's understandable that the club would want to go forward if at all possible with the home opener as scheduled, as would many fans -- for example, people who've cleared their decks, job-wise, for that afternoon but may not be able to arrange to get away the next day, too. But waiting as long as they did last season was a mistake. Make a (tough) decision and live with it.

Forget the Home Opener, the entire homestand is in jeopardy because it isn't supposed to break 45 until Wednesday. Temps are hovering in the mid-high 30s the entire weekend.

I'm regretting my decision to purchase tickets. Friday's forecast doesn't seem any better (dryer, but colder). My guess is that they will play -- and I will lose all feeling in my feet and fingers.

Folks who are attending, Pretend it is a late season Bears game. That is all.
They really need to make retractable roofs mandatory for all stadiums north of 35 N latitude. It is eventually going to get to a point where 10 games are getting cancelled per northern team in April.

They better not repeat last years fiasco.
My brothers and I always do Opening Day and last year was a mess.

The weather is so unpredictable but a bit more organization would be appreciated.

The decision to build a retractable dome in Milwaukee was genius. Never a rain out, never a rain delay, never a cold freezing horrible game.

Someday when the current Sox stadium gets torn down and they rebuild one on the other other side of 35th, that stadium should have a retractable roof.

Won't happen in a million years.
