I honestly considered just moving it to WTS, but will see if we can actually have a rational discussion about a young star getting hurt badly without devolving into something else.

Wonder how he hurt himself. Stress fracture in the back does not sound good for long term health or the ability to continue to play a game that puts a fair amount of stress on the back in particular.

Haven't read anything about a fracture, just a stress "reaction" that isn't thought to be serious. They're likely shutting him down for precautionary reasons.

Good point. My guess the OP's brain read stress and then filled in fracture which is close enough in letter content and sound to be confused when not reading carefully.

I didn't catch it either and I read the article, but my brain was poisoned by the first comment and I missed the correct word too.

I think Mark Buehrle had a stress reaction in his foot during the 2005 preseason, no?
