The lineup owes Reynaldo a bunch of steak dinners for that ****.

Please let this be the real Reynaldo Lopez. That would be huge.

The two starters they lost to were really good.

The loss doesn't matter. In fact, it helps with draft position. The lineup is so 2018 right now.

Lopez had three quality starts in a row in April and three more in May, but this was the best run of the three (and, of course, it could get longer).

Impressive that the Marlins have so many good young starters in year 2 of their rebuild.

Iíll take individual results and the draft position. Lose Ďem all but let some guys look decent doing so. 77 wins means nothing to me.

The two guys who were up with the game hanging justified all the confidence I had in them, which is to say, none. Reed in particular, isn't the answer to anything. But, good game for Lopez and good game to watch.

I can't believe Romo is still closing. Does he even break 80 mph anymore?

The White Sox deserved to lose this game, not scoring the leadoff double in the bottom of the seventh in a scoreless game. After Nova coasted to a complete game in Monday's blowout win, the Sox only scored one run, and they were five down when they scored that.

Of course tonight, they were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Even so, that could have been good enough to grab the lead in the seventh if a couple of those outs had been productive.

The Sox have Giolito, Cease, Nova and Covey going against the Twins coming up. The next Lopez start figures to be against the Mets next week. The Mets have more pop than the Marlins, but his only start against the Twins this year was not a good one. I don't know if the post-break rotation was set up so that he could avoid the Twins in July to help him build his confidence, but it looks like it's working out to his advantage.

3-10 since the break. Not good with the Twins coming in for 4.

Draft position > meaningless 2019 wins.

I saw what I needed to see in this game: another fantastic outing by Lopez. At this point, I would keep McCann just to see if he can help Lopez like he has helped Giolito.

Besides, losing 2 of 3 to the Marlins and 3 or 4 to the Twins takes away any bull**** cover for Hahn to stand pat at the trade deadline.

I want to see results. Losing 6 out of seven to the Royals and Marlins is ridiculous. I tired of not even being mediocre just to keep hearing about draft position. Successful organizations donít have to draft in the top ten every year to be successful. I for one donít like what Iíve been seeing since the Allstar break.
