Default MLB Second Half Trades

The All-Star Game is over, so it's time for trades to take place between now and the July 31 deadline.

Machado to the Dodgers is reportedly pretty much a done deal. But nothing official has been announced. I wonder how much LA will give up for half a season of Machado? A Machado rental makes sense for them since their star SS is out for the season with TJ surgery.

If this trade helps the Dodgers get past the Cubs in the NL playoffs, then I'm all for it.

Sources believe the deal agreed upon between #Dodgers and #Orioles is Yusniel Diaz, Dustin May, and Errol Robinson heading to Baltimore for Manny Machado and cash and possibly bonus pool $$. Again, not official as teams have yet to announce. Still fluid.
For what it's worth.

The Indians send catching prospect Francisco Mejia to the Padres for closer Brad Hand and reliever Adam Cimber. Mejia is ranked as one of the top prospects in baseball.

Nice move by the wahoos for now and the future if they lose Miller and Allen after this year. But you have to give to get.

Indians should find their new relievers very handy.

I'd imagine this takes the Indians off of the Joakim Soria suitor list. However, there should be no shortage of other playoff teams interested in him.

Good news for the Sox having Mejia out of the division now.

There appeared to be a high demand for Britton; but his numbers certainly haven't been much the last 2 years.

The division is to bad, the Twins out to price out some pitching. They are only 7 out and the Indians just aren't that good.

Twins I suspect they'll be selling off some of the guys they signed to short / one year deals.

Yankees have been playing the game that way with a loaded / lights out bullpen for years. Shorten the game to where if they are leading after six innings, its over.

And in a playoff game, they can feel a whole lot better about pulling a starter in the 3rd or 4th inning if he’s shaky.

Nathan Eovaldi to the Red Sox.

Looks like we have an arms race in the AL East.

Britton has issues and Chapman has been hurt.

Happ to the Yankees.

We're looking at another Red Sox / Yankees ALCS. And god help us if the Cubs end up meeting either of them in the World Series. That's not a knock against either of those teams, I just can't do the media fawning.
