Luis Robert's slash line so far is .471/.518/.902

That .902 isn't his OPS, it's his SLUGGING!

The only thing he isn't doing is taking walks, but why do that during what seems to be batting practice?

A+ ball or not, that SLG% is insane. Even if it isn't sustainable, he should still be promoted soon (like May 1st) to AA.

I hope that happens: Birmingham is not too far away from here.

Hopefully by May we start to move a few guys along- Booker to Charlotte where he can join Tilson and Palka and we get rid of a veteran/filler guy. Robert to AA for sure. Probably not May 1- but I could see Walker moving relatively soon to A+ from Kanny.

I think Flores is prob ready to move up to AAA as well-

AA always seems to be a big hurdle for the first 30-60 days or so- nice to see a few of these guys beginning to show early signs of adjusting.

Many said that we would have to see Robert through the same sample size with Soto to compare the two. Robert is close to where Soto was last year in terms of games played, and he is blowing Soto's production out of the water.

He is toying with the league.

Burls had a fastball?

The night Mark tossed his first no hitter, he topped out at 89 MPH on the radar. Got pulled over for driving too slow.

Said it before in some thread, but I don't like the Soto comp for Robert, as they are on different levels. Soto's K/BB ratio in the minors and in the majors is elite compared to Robert's, who's is well below average. I view Robert closer to a more athletic, CF version of Justin Upton. Tons of power, some swing and miss to his game, likely a .270 hitter.

Bush and Curbelo had doubles to get to .114 and .122, respectively. Nunez and Sowers had hits to get to .167 and .065.

And, of course, Luis Robert finally got his average up to .482 with a home run, a double, and a single.

On the pitching side, Hansen threw a perfect 7th and 8th.
Also, Steele Walker was 2 for 3 with a double. His average for the season is .333 with an OPS of .963

Remember 18 months ago we were debating about who had the higher ceiling between him and Kopech. I hope theyíre planning on giving him a start soon, because if this is for real itís a HUGE boost to the future of the rotation.
Agreed. I know they're starting him off slow, but this is very encouraging. This was the first time this year he went 2 innings. I'd imagine their plan is to get him stretched out over his next few appearance to get him back into the rotation. Yes, we're talking about a very high ceiling guy here - it'll indeed be a huge boost as you say if Cease, Kopech, and Hansen all reach their potential and they can be the top 3 of our rotation.

Up to .482/.525/.946 after last night.

Charlotte and W-S games postponed tonight. Both teams will make up their game as part of a doubleheader tomorrow. Dylan Cease was schedule to start tonight, so he'll presumably start of the games tomorrow.

So no Robert, Madrigal, Cease, or Collins/Zavala highlights tonight.

Gonzalez 2 for 5 and Sheets 1 for 3 with 2 walks last night. Maybe they're starting to come around at Birmingham. Also, Laz Rivera was 3 for 5 with a double. Booker was 1 for 4 with a walk.

Adolfo and Rutherford still struggling going a combined 1 for 9 with 2 Ks each. The one hit was an Adolfo double.

Most disappointed IN Ruth. He did not have swing and miss concerns and is displaying them now. Adolfo was always going to have issues the higher he got.

Iíd give Rutherford until July before we freak out. The jump to double A is one of the harder ones - itís the level with the most pure talent. Heís not going to always have a .272 ops.

Nice to see Sheets with a bomb last night and his average up to .231- IF he has a good season at AA- we might have another internal option for 1B- along with Collins and maybe Burger.

Walker hasn't been in the line up at Kanny for a few nights, not sure what's going on.
