Anyone else disappointed by the 2019 version of the Milb app? The interface for getting to schedules and box scores seems awful. Keep kicking me to websites within the app and it feels like t was made 10 years ago.

Robert might not last through next week in A plus.

So Hansen has been moved to the bullpen? Thatís disappointing. Anyone hear any discussion of the reasons for this?

I read somewhere - canít find the link right now, but I think it was on FutureSox - that the move was interpreted to be temporary. If he regains his control and command of multiple pitches, Iím sure they would return him to a starters role.

Completely agree- it sucks. They ruined something that wasn't broken.

Yes, I recall reading the same thing somewhere too......that this is part of the plan to bring him back up to speed slowly. Yesterday, he had 1.0 IP with 1 K, 0 H, and 0 BB. In other prospect news, Robert is now 7 for 13 to start the season with 2 HR, 1 2B, and 3 SB.

In yesterday's game highlights:
Sosa 4-5
Bush 2-4
Walker 1-4
Collins 1-2 (1 HR, 2 BB)
Madrigal still hitless for the young season and had 2 Ks in yesterday's game.

Wondering if Madrigal is working on taking more pitches presently. His see baseball hit baseball approach won't cut it at the major league level. Hopefully this slow start is just due to him trying to enforce patience upon himself or at the team's request. if that's the case we will see more walks (as we have) and more K initially as he takes some pitches he would have made contact on and gotten some hits on last year.

That's 3 for Collins already. Him finding his power stroke would be awesome. Yes it's a smaller stadium but the pitchers have nastier stuff too.

I saw him last night in Charlotte, his homer was hit to the opposite field - it was a nice swing. He did struggle throwing to second base however, the ball almost sailed into center field.

Robert with a three run home run to take the lead in the ninth. He does not belong in A plus.

Itís been three games. By this logic, Nick Madrigal does not belong in A plus, either.

If Robert is still hitting over .500 at monthís end, then go ahead and make a promotion. For now, we still need to figure out how Birminghamís outfield will shake out. One of the guys on that Birmingham roster needs to prove himself capable of handling a promotion to Charlotte.

You don't delay the progress of arguably your best prospect because you are waiting for other inferior guys "proving themselves" at a higher level. If you have to demote any of Booker/Adolfo/Gonzalez/Rutherford to make room for Luis Robert you do it.

With that said, yes it's still early for Robert. Give him at least 75-100 ABs and then consider a move. With him being the lone indicator for the move, not whatever results come from the other guys at the higher level.

I'd give Robert another 30-45 days- and if he's still lights out- promote him.

Booker is 25 yo- might as well push him to Charlotte (mostly AAAA crap in that outfield any way)- and see if he can handle it.

The log jam will come up again when Basabe returns. At that point there could be 5 legit prospects who all need AA playing time. (Adolfo, Rutherford, Gonzalez, Basabe, Robert)

As mentioned above, the First Pitch app is not working well so far. They did not need to change that, at least from an end-user perspective.

Speaking to the Robert demotion/ promotion angle, is there precedent for the Sox skipping AA altogether and getting him to AAA if his bat seems to be fairly developed. That would clear up any of the logjam issues with AA.
