Interesting!

I'm glad to see this. Phegley deserves a chance and I'm hoping he takes advantage of it. If he performs well the rest of the season we don't have to get another catcher in the off season.

Phegley's been playing well and his name is fun to say. Good move.

I agree. I think Phegley should start for the second half and Flowers should be his backup. All I really want our catchers to do is to at least catch the damned ball.

Guess it was late enough to avoid super two status on Phegley, and +3 on DFAing the wrong catcher. Too early for Hahn to admit his mistake, IMHO.

Might as well see what we've got with Phegley. If he steps up, great, if not, they will have to address catcher in the offseason.

No, I disagree. This is the start of transitioning away from the way the 2013 Sox were constructed. Josh Phegley has had a strong offensive year at Charlotte. Calling him up is a good idea.
+4 on Flowers. But, as I said, calling up Phegley is certainly a start and more moves are surely coming. |

Maybe Flowers is going to be traded. Has to be a need for catchers that can't neither hit or catch or hold on to the ball when tagging runners at the plate.
