Three wins in the last four games.

Skole and Goins helped a little. Gio isn't himself, but close enough to beat a bad team.

He's not the light out guy (Koufaxesque) he was for that streak but he's human and has to find ways to win w/o his best stuff. He did that last night so he's just fine in my book.

It's a different team with Anderson back and healthy . be glad when Moncada is back . just like every other game this year, i just want all the core guys back and healthy and performing/progressing . with growing pains still a factor, i don't actually expect any playoff runs next year, but i do expect this team to win more games than they lose.

Yes they are a definite upgrade over the people they replaced.

Giolito said something to the effect that he overhauled his mechanics this off-season and this is the first time he's used these mechanics for this long of a period. I think from the way he was missing his spots, it's clear he's tired.

For all the slumps and terrible play, for the most part it's come from guys you really don't care about. Moncada, Anderson, Eloy, Giolito, post-ASB Lopez, Bummer have all been somewhere between pretty and very good. It's been more the lack of halfway decent major leaguers around them particularly on the mound. But that's not a bad thing for this stage in the rebuild. Much rather have resources to go get a top end guy this offseason (Cole ) than tie up $$$ in guys who won't matter in 1-2 years and have them for a year when the record doesn't really matter.
