Cordell is the only real OF among the group. He should be playing CF.

Works for me, though Garcia has improved remarkably since he first got put out there last year.

Let's hope not. I've seen enough of him too. he's a Four A player, nothing more, nothing less.

Has he really been given an extended period of time in a Sox uniform, he has to be a better hitter than Engel. If he is brought up, put him out in center field for a couple of months and see if he can hack it, not going to hurt things, we probably arent going anywhere this year.

Fine. Let him play RF or LF.

In fact, another couple of O-fers should get Abreu’s ass a day off Sunday. You can go Leury in LF, Engel in CF, Cordell in RF, and Eloy at DH. With Lopez giving up so many fly balls, it is to the team’s advantage to cover as much of that huge Comerica outfield as possible.

Honestly, you could stack this alignment up on consecutive days and sit Alonso against the lefty starter Saturday.

First off he can't stay healthy. Hard to get playing time when you can't play can you? He's had more than enough chances for my taste.

He's had 123 at bats with the Sox and has a BA of .269. Not great but a lot better than what we've seen from Engel who I wish could just bat .269 to go along with his great glove.

Agree and he is not a good fielder.

I've had enough of BOTH of those guys.

At this stage I guess we can only hope that Luis Robert progresses at a much faster rate than normal.

Well, the good news is that after 12 games at Winston-Salem he's slashing .471/.508/.902.

I'm not suggesting he'll be in Chicago in a few months or anything, but he's looking really good in the early going this season.

Charlie Tilson is Scott Podsednik Version 2.0. Fast, slap hitter, no power, good glove, weak arm. I don't think 123 at bats (and a .269 average) is enough to summarily dismiss him as a failure. Had you "had enough" of Mike Trout after the 2011 season? Trout hit .220 in -- wait for it -- 123 at bats in 2011. Of course Tilson is no Trout (and probably not even Pods), but the 2019 Sox can afford to be patient and give Tilson a longer look

When Scott Podsednik was healthy, he got on base at a .350 clip. I donít think Charlie Tilson has that kind of ability at the plate.

Eloy's grandmother passed away. He's been placed on the bereavement list and the Sox have recalled Nicky Delmonico.

He played a full season last year (over a 100 games) after missing all of 2017 due to a stress fracture in his ankle. Before that, he played at least 100 games per season between 2013 and 2016, though he had a hamstring tear in Aug. 2016 that ended the season for him.

Has he had injury issues in the past? Yes. But I wouldn't exactly say that he can't stay healthy as a reason to write him off from future consideration. That being said, I have no expectation that he's a good enough player to have a future in the majors.
