I took my 4 year old to the game for kids day and couldnít have had a better time. 26k was a good crowd without being overly crowded. Balloon animals and face painting for free. Got to move around a lot and sit as close as the third row behind the dugout, because, you know, plenty of seats available by the end. Kids run the bases was great.

I took her last year, too, but now she was old enough to appreciate it a little more.

For kids/family, Sox games are excellent.

Great to hear. I know a lot of people beef about the cost of bringing a family to a ballgame these days. It can be expensive, but the Sox offer multiple options for making a game more affordable -- including family Sundays, the bleacher and beer deal, tailgating, allowing you to bring as much food as you want into the game etc.

Seeing Anderson react the way he did to his double in the eighth inning is an encouraging sign that everyone is having fun. It's time for the fans to follow the players' lead. We have an ace in Giolito, and the young bats are developing. What's not to like?

Yolmer's OBP up to .341. Pretty impressive esp with showing no power. Walk rate over 10%.
Maybe as his patience develops, the rest of the offensive side will follow.

Soon we might have to have Giolito “Cy Young” discussions. He’s got some stiff competition, but he’s right near the Top 5-10 in nearly every pitching category.

60% of the rotation and below-average offensive production from spots 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in the lineup. Add the manager to that as well.

And his D has been simply stunning at 2B. He's on FIRE right now... or as on fire as a guy like him can get. He's like a pressure release valve for this team and he's having fun.

ESPN's Cy Young tracker now has Giolito in 9th in the AL (and obviously trending up). Also consider two pitchers ahead of him are relievers, and that ESPN takes into consideration whether or not your team is a contender (which is BS for the Cy Young). He's got a real shot at it if this isn't a mirage.
