I liked Retherford more than Viciedo last year. I'm not tryung to say Viciedo will be a bust or that Retherford will have a better career. Just voicing an opinion.

Probably, considering the logjam he's looking at now. It's too bad, too, there's a small part of me that would rather see Retherford instead of Teahen... There's a chance Retherford might be good as opposed to Teahen, who I'm quite certain is hot **** on a plate.

You don't want to see Retherford at 3B, especially in the majors. He's got a loooooong way to go defensively.

Teahen is a major league hitter with some upside, while Retherford is a prospect.

There may be a slight chance that Retherford becomes what Teahen is now, but it's more likely he'll end up a super utility player at the big league level, especially considering that Morel is a big-time prospect at 3B and how our current MLB infield is constructed with under-30 players.

Yes, Jon Gilmore is making progress, but he's still a high A-AA level player. Morel has much more upside at this point.

In 2008, yes. I don't think he played any third in '09, I think the Sox had seen enough.

Well he's seeing some time at catcher, which would be totally sick if some how he could adapt and become a decent catcher, but it kind of seems like a terrible idea. I'd want him to be stuck at one position and let him play it the whole season as he gets seasoned.

That or they had a multimillion dollar free agent at 3B for the Barons.
