Callis has a new mock up.
http://www.baseballamerica.com/today...0/2610137.html I will be very unhappy if Loux is taken. Yuck. |

Here is a list of players with Boras as an agent for this year's draft. IE the White Sox are very unlikely to select the following players:

Kevin_Goldstein In the 20s. RT @zacdefrancesca: @Kevin_Goldstein as a MTSU fan where do you see Bryce Brentz goin? 8 minutes ago via TweetCaster ___________ I expect this as well. I think he goes to the Giants. Most people see him in the 20's when ranking players in this year's draft. |

So does that mean Elias had Valverde as the highest ranked FA (relative to his position), Scutaro 2nd...?

Essentially. I'm not entirely sure how things are sorted, but that is the gist of it. Maybe someone else can weigh in. Elias rankings are rather convoluted.

Kevin_Goldstein I've heard nothing but college arms. RT @mrausch86: @Kevin_Goldstein who do you see the ChiSox drafting? I have seen Brentz. |

The more I think about it, the more I may want the Sox to seriously consider taking Bentz. I like Wimmers and McGuire, but hopefully the Sox can nab a few pitchers in the early rounds like they did last year. Brentz really does intrigue me.

Brentz could be one of the quicker guys in this draft to make it up to the majors if he end up playing to his potential. Thats another reason I would love that pick. The Sox need offense!

I think the situation at 13 sucks. Laumann described the position as no-man's land. Since the Sox limit themselves primarily to cheap college pitchers and college position players, options are limited. A bunch of middle of the rotation starter types if things pan out, or a few underwhelming college bats. I will be pretty indifferent if any of the college pitchers or Brentz are picked. This draft class is very underwhelming. Last edited by DirtySox; 06-07-2010 at 01:10 PM. |

Well, they never play it safe in terms of having their first pick actually be good.
