Definitely deserved it.

March 16, 2005 - Another happy Sox fan joins the party!
July 6, 2012 - 7 years later he's still part of it...

Absolutely. He's going to be a stud in the back part of the bullpen. One of the few prospects I'm legitimately excited about. Goldstein has suggested he could be Kimbrel-esque next season.

Who's Kimbrel? Sounds before my time in paying attention to baseball.

Whatever the case may be, Jesus H. Christ, his stats last year are out of this world. o_O

Kimbrel is the current Braves closer who's a frontrunner for ROY.

Holy cow. 127 Ks in 77 IP?! WHIP of just over 1, ERA just over 2?

Good lord that's impressive. Where'd the Braves find that gem?

Braves gonna Braves. They are fantastic with their scouting and development. They have so many premier starting pitching prospects currently that they could replace almost their entire rotation if they wanted.

Also should be noted that he fell apart when it counted the most.

Maybe they can give the Sox one or two of those guys for Carlos Quentin.

And with the Santos deal to the Blue Jays, Reed might become the Sox closer at some point next season.
