Padres, meh. Not bad. The road jersey is better than that sand-soup colored thing they were now.

Marlins, good God. What were the designers thinking? That M is just wrong on so many levels.

It's the "M" on the hat and on the jerseys that bothers me the most. That thing is just horrible with that bizarre "Marlin-ish" thing coming out of it. Why not just push the thing all the way to the limit and add some strobing LED lights around the logo?

Heard a rumor that the Mets are taking the black out of their uniforms. . . if this is true it is LONG overdue and maybe the best uniform move of the last 20 years!
Hated those things- the old blue and orange looks just fine as it is!

What I heard on uniwatch was that by 2013 the black will be gone and the Mets will have a blue alternate. Hopefully the black will be gone by 2012, adding black to a uniform for no reason was a bad idea when they started it in 1998 and it's bad now. Hopefully the Blue Jays come around too and get rid of the black.

The Blue Jays are unveiling new threads Friday and the rumor for most of the off-season is that they will be very heavily throwback inspired.

Great! Uniwatch is saying that the Mets uniforms will be just be rid of the black drop shadow.

Not true. They have eliminated black from the plain home jersey, the pinstriped jersey and the road jersey. They will also wear blue caps with those jerseys. However, they are keeping the black jersey and cap around for another year. They said it will only be worn for a handful or road games, never at home.
They wanted to keep an alternate jersey for merchandise sales, but they didn't get the idea until too late to add a blue jersey. After a hugely positive fan response to wearing a blue "Los Mets" jersey for Hispanic heritage night last year, they decided to add a blue alt jersey for 2013. They missed the deadline to add it this year. They will eliminate the black jersey/cap when they add the blue one.

With the simple move of removing black from the other jerseys and wearing the blue cap with them, the Mets have by far the best change of the offseason so far.

I thought the realistic Oriole was one of baseball's classier logos. There was something kind of stately about it. The cartoon bird just looks too Rookie League-ish to me.
